  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 80 g sugar

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  • Gradually add the flour and baking powder, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Take small portions of dough, roll into balls, and flatten into small circles.
  • Place a spoonful of apple filling in the center of each piece, then fold to form crescents or sealed shapes.
  • Arrange on the prepared baking tray.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until lightly golden.
  • Allow to cool and optionally dust with powdered sugar before serving

Notes

Always cool the apple filling completely before using to avoid soggy dough.Use firm apples with a sweet-tart balance for best flavor. If the dough feels sticky, add a little more flour gradually.Add walnuts, raisins, or spices like cloves or nutmeg for variation.Seal edges well to prevent filling leakage during baking.Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days (room temperature) or 5 days refrigerated.Reheat briefly in the oven for best texture.
