Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar or coconut sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • ½ cup plant-based milk (such as almond, soy, or oat)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup dairy-free chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix sugar, oil, plant-based milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in dairy-free chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until edges are set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
