Summer Shrimp Scampi is a light and refreshing seafood pasta made with juicy shrimp, garlic, lemon, and butter. This easy shrimp scampi recipe is perfect for summer dinners, delivering bright, zesty flavors in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

shrimp (peeled and deveined)
olive oil
butter
garlic
lemon juice
lemon zest
white wine or chicken broth
red pepper flakes
salt
black pepper
fresh parsley
angel hair pasta or spaghetti

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve some pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, without browning.
  3. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. Pour in white wine or chicken broth and let it simmer for a few minutes to reduce slightly.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  7. Add cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  8. Toss everything together and finish with fresh parsley.
  9. Serve immediately while warm.
