This Queso Blanco (White Cheese Dip) is a creamy, smooth, restaurant-style cheese dip made with white American cheese, green chilies, and warm spices. Perfect for parties, nachos, or dipping, this easy queso blanco recipe delivers rich flavor and velvety texture in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • White American cheese, chopped or shredded
  • Milk or half-and-half
  • Butter
  • Green chilies (canned, diced)
  • Jalapeño, finely chopped (optional)
  • Garlic, minced
  • Onion powder
  • Cumin
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Stir in milk or half-and-half and heat gently (do not boil).
  4. Gradually add the white American cheese, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
  5. Mix in diced green chilies and optional jalapeño.

Notes
