These Crispy Herbed Potato Stacks are a stunning and delicious side dish made with thinly sliced potatoes layered with butter, garlic, and fresh herbs, then baked to golden perfection. Ingredients

  • 45 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and grease a muffin tin well.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, and chopped herbs.
  • Add sliced potatoes and toss until evenly coated.
  • Stack the potato slices into the muffin tin cups, layering neatly.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle parmesan if using.
  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake another 20–25 minutes until edges are crispy and golden.
  • Let cool slightly, then carefully remove from the tin and serve.

Notes

Use a mandoline slicer for evenly thin slices (2–3 mm).Grease the pan thoroughly to prevent sticking.For extra crispiness, bake uncovered during the final stage.
