Cinnamon Twisted Snowflake Bread is a soft, fluffy pull-apart bread layered with a rich cinnamon-sugar filling and shaped into a stunning snowflake design. This easy yet impressive homemade bread is perfect for holidays, gatherings, or cozy baking moments

Ingredients

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 250 ml warm milk
  • 75 g sugar
  • 75 g butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 7 g dry yeast
  • A pinch of salt

For the filling:

  • 75 g butter, softened
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

For finishing:

  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk with a little sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  • Add the egg, softened butter, and yeast mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • In a bowl, mix butter, sugar, and cinnamon to prepare the filling.
  • Divide the dough into four equal portions and roll each into a circle of the same size.
  • Place the first circle on a parchment-lined baking sheet and spread with filling. Layer the second and third circles with filling, leaving the top layer plain.
  • Place a small glass in the center. Cut the dough into 16 equal strips from the edge to the center.
  • Take two adjacent strips, twist them away from each other twice, and pinch the ends together. Repeat to form a snowflake pattern.
  • Remove the glass, cover, and let rest for 20–30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
