Ingredients

  • 1 large crusty sourdough or Italian bread loaf
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Using a serrated knife, cut the bread into a crosshatch pattern, making deep cuts without slicing all the way through the bottom.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  • Carefully spread the garlic butter mixture into all the cuts throughout the loaf.
  • Stuff the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly into the bread cuts.
  • Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top.
  • Wrap the loaf loosely in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Open the foil and continue baking for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the bread is golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
