  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.

  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
  10. Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Freshly shredded cheese melts more smoothly than pre-shredded varieties. For extra crispy bread, toast the buttered bread for 3–4 minutes before adding the cheese.Add sliced jalapeños, pepperoni,  or vegetables for additional flavor.Serve with marinara sauce, ranch dressing, garlic sauce, or your favorite dip.Keep a close eye on the bread while broiling, as the cheese can brown quickly. This recipe is easily doubled for parties and gatherings.
