This broccoli, beef & tater tot hotdish is a classic comfort food casserole made with savory ground beef, tender broccoli, creamy mushroom sauce, and crispy golden tater tots. Perfect for family dinners, this easy one-dish meal is hearty, cheesy, and incredibly satisfying.

Ingredients

  • Ground beef
  • Frozen tater tots
  • Broccoli florets
  • Onion, diced
  • Garlic, minced
  • Cream of mushroom soup
  • Milk
  • Shredded cheddar cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Paprika

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
  • Boil broccoli in salted water for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender. Drain well.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onion until softened, then add garlic.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk until smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Add broccoli and mix to combine.
  • Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top.
  • Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer over the casserole.
  • Bake for 35–40 minutes until tater tots are golden and crispy.
  • Let rest a few minutes before serving

Notes

Drain broccoli thoroughly to avoid excess moisture.For extra crispiness, bake uncovered the entire time.Add extra cheese for a richer, more indulgent dish.
