Balsamic Chicken Marinade is a quick and flavorful blend of balsamic vinegar, garlic, and savory seasonings that creates juicy, tender chicken. This easy balsamic chicken marinade is perfect for grilling, baking, or pan-searing and adds rich, tangy flavor to any meal.

Ingredients

  • balsamic vinegar
    olive oil
    garlic
    honey or brown sugar
    Dijon mustard
    soy sauce
    salt
    black pepper
    Italian seasoning
    chicken breasts or thighs

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, honey or brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce until well combined.
  • Add salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning, mixing until smooth.
  • Place chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2–8 hours for best flavor.
  • Remove chicken from marinade and cook using your preferred method (grill, bake, or pan-sear) until fully cooked.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Marinate longer for deeper flavor, but avoid exceeding 24 hours.Do not reuse marinade that has touched raw chicken unless cooked first.Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme can enhance flavor.Maple syrup can be used instead of honey for a different sweetness.Letting the chicken rest after cooking helps retain juices.
