Vegan apple crisp is a cozy, dairy-free dessert made with spiced, tender apples and a golden oat crumble topping. It’s simple, wholesome, and perfect for fall or any time you crave a comforting sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or coconut sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour or almond flour
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil or vegan butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with lemon juice, maple syrup (or coconut sugar), cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract. Transfer to a greased baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, salt, and an extra pinch of cinnamon if desired.
  4. Pour melted coconut oil or vegan butter into the oat mixture and stir until crumbly.
  5. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until topping is golden and apples are tender.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with vegan ice cream if desired.
