Ingredients

  • Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Tortillas (corn or flour)
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic, minced
  • Chili powder
  • Paprika
  • Cumin
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Lime juice
  • Shredded cabbage or lettuce
  • Tomatoes, diced
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • Avocado or guacamole
  • Sour cream or yogurt
  • Mayonnaise
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  • In a bowl, toss shrimp with olive oil, garlic, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  • Squeeze fresh lime juice over the shrimp.
  • In a small bowl, mix sour cream (or yogurt), mayonnaise, and lime juice to make a creamy sauce.
  • Warm tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
  • Assemble tacos with shrimp, cabbage, tomatoes, onion, avocado, and sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.
