Ingredients

  • 1 (32-ounce) bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
  4. Arrange a single layer of frozen tater tots in the baking dish.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the cooked sausage over the tater tots.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and tater tots.
  7. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes, or until eggs are set and top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with green onions or parsley if desired.
