Sprinkle Cookies are soft, buttery cookies filled with colorful sprinkles for a festive and fun treat. Chewy with a hint of vanilla, they’re perfect for birthdays, holidays, or any time you want a cheerful dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup rainbow sprinkles (jimmies or nonpareils)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until a dough forms.
  6. Fold in most of the sprinkles, reserving some for topping.
  7. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.
  8. Top each cookie with extra sprinkles.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
