Ingredients

  • Ground cinnamon

  • Heavy cream

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or microwave in short intervals, stirring until smooth.
  • Whisk in granulated sugar and brown sugar until fully combined.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, and chili powder (if using).
  • Gradually fold dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined—do not overmix.
