Ingredients

  • 2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 ounces smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 ½ pounds baby potatoes
  • 4 ears corn on the cob, cut into pieces
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 8 cups chicken broth or water
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Extra lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  • Fill a large stockpot with chicken broth or water and bring to a boil.
  • Add sliced lemons, onion, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, Cajun seasoning, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  • Add the baby potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes until slightly tender.
  • Add the corn pieces and sliced sausage to the pot and continue cooking for 5–7 minutes.
  • Stir in the shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque.
  • Carefully drain the ingredients and transfer them to a large serving tray or a table lined with parchment paper.
  • Mix melted butter with extra Cajun seasoning if desired.
  • Drizzle the seasoned butter over the shrimp boil.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and extra lemon wedges before serving.
