Ritz Chicken Casserole is a comforting, creamy dish with tender chicken, a rich sauce, and a crunchy, buttery Ritz cracker topping. This easy-to-make casserole is perfect for a family dinner, a potluck, or a cozy weeknight meal. It combines simplicity with indulgence, making it a go-to recipe for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup (or cream of mushroom soup)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers (crushed)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or coat it with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the cooked chicken and 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese to the sauce mixture. Stir until the chicken and cheese are evenly coated with the sauce.
  4. Pour the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. In a separate bowl, crush the Ritz crackers into fine crumbs. Stir in the melted butter until the crumbs are evenly coated.
  6. Sprinkle the buttered Ritz cracker mixture evenly over the top of the casserole.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  8. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions if desired.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes
