Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup milk
    1 large egg
    2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles
    Butter or oil for cooking
    Optional: maple syrup, whipped cream, or extra sprinkles for serving

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix milk, egg, melted butter or oil, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • Gently fold in rainbow sprinkles.
  • Heat a nonstick pan or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease.
  • Use a squeeze bottle or spoon to pour batter into heart shapes on the pan.
  • Cook until bubbles form and edges set, then flip and cook until golden.
  • Remove and keep warm while cooking remaining batter.
  • Serve with syrup, whipped cream, or extra sprinkles.
