Quesadillas in the waffle maker are a fun, crispy, and mess-free twist on the classic. With golden tortillas and gooey melted cheese, they cook quickly and evenly without flipping, making them perfect for snacks, lunches, or party appetizers.

Ingredients

  • 2 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
  • Optional fillings: 1/2 cup cooked chicken, beef, beans, peppers, onions, or corn
  • Nonstick cooking spray or melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your waffle maker and lightly spray with cooking spray or brush with melted butter.
  2. Place one tortilla on the bottom plate of the waffle maker.
  3. Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the tortilla and add any desired fillings.
  4. Top with the second tortilla.
  5. Close the waffle maker and cook for 3–5 minutes, until golden and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove carefully, let cool slightly, then slice into wedges and serve.
