Pizza Bagels are a quick, fun, and customizable snack or meal made with bagels, pizza sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings. Baked until crispy and melty, they’re perfect for busy weeknights, kids’ lunches, or casual parties.

Ingredients

  • 3 plain or flavored bagels, sliced in half
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 18 slices pepperoni or other toppings (mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, etc.)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for brushing)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the bagels in half and arrange them cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. Optional: Lightly brush the cut sides with olive oil for extra crispiness.
  4. Spread 1–2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on each bagel half.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over the sauce.
  6. Add your favorite toppings such as pepperoni, mushrooms, or bell peppers.
  7. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning or oregano if desired.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly and bagels are lightly toasted.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Use mini bagels for party-sized or kid-friendly versions.Mix different cheeses for extra flavor.Make ahead and refrigerate or freeze before baking for easy prep.Try different sauces like pesto or barbecue for a flavor twist.Press toppings lightly into the cheese to help them stay in place during baking.
