1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 cups tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
Reduce heat to low and slowly stir in heavy cream. Mix until the sauce turns a smooth pink color.
