Oreo Dirt Cake is a no-bake dessert featuring layers of crushed Oreo cookies, creamy pudding, and whipped topping. This nostalgic and playful treat is rich, chocolatey, and perfect for any gathering or celebration.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 1/2 cups cold milk
  • 12 oz whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and smashing with a rolling pin. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Fold the whipped topping into the pudding mixture until well combined.
  5. Combine the pudding mixture with the cream cheese mixture and stir until smooth.
  6. In a 9×13-inch pan or a large trifle dish, layer half of the crushed Oreos on the bottom.
  7. Spread the creamy filling mixture evenly over the Oreo layer.
  8. Top with the remaining crushed Oreos, gently pressing them into the top to resemble “dirt.”
  9. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving.

Notes

Do not remove the filling from the Oreo cookies — it adds flavor and helps bind the crumbs. For best results, chill the dessert overnight to let the layers set fully.Top with gummy worms for a fun, kid-friendly presentation.Use chocolate pudding instead of vanilla for a richer flavor.Serve in individual cups for easy portioning and presentation.
