Old Fashioned Marshmallow Peanut Butter Squares are a nostalgic no-bake dessert made with creamy peanut butter, sweet butterscotch chips, and mini marshmallows. These chewy, rich bars are simple to make and perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 (11 oz) bag butterscotch chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the butterscotch chips, peanut butter, and butter, stirring constantly until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for 3–5 minutes to avoid melting the marshmallows.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and salt if using.
  5. Gently fold in the mini marshmallows until evenly coated.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish and press lightly into an even layer.
  7. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm.
  8. Slice into squares and serve chilled or at room temperature.
