Neiman Marcus Cake is a rich, gooey butter cake made with a yellow cake mix base and a sweetened cream cheese topping. It’s indulgent, chewy, and incredibly easy to make—perfect for holidays, gatherings, or when you need a quick dessert fix.

Ingredients

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs (divided)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, 1 egg, and melted butter. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add remaining 2 eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  5. Gradually beat in powdered sugar until mixture is smooth and creamy.
  6. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake base and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until edges are golden and center is set but slightly jiggly.
  8. Allow to cool completely before slicing. The center will firm up as it cools.
