Microwave Fudge is a quick and easy treat that combines a rich, creamy chocolate flavor with just a few ingredients. This simple, no-bake fudge is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without spending much time in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk chocolate chips)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)
  • Optional mix-ins: chopped nuts, sprinkles, crushed candy, or marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Line an 8×8-inch square baking dish or a loaf pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt the fudge ingredients: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Microwave on high for 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the mixture is completely smooth and melted (about 1-2 minutes in total). Be careful not to overheat it, as the chocolate may seize if microwaved for too long.
  3. Add flavor and texture: Once melted and smooth, stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt (if using) for extra flavor. If you’re adding any mix-ins like nuts, candy pieces, or sprinkles, fold them into the mixture now.
  4. Set the fudge: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly with a spatula. Smooth the top and add any additional toppings if desired, like extra sprinkles or a drizzle of melted chocolate.
  5. Chill and set: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours, or until it’s firm and set. If you’re in a rush, you can place it in the freezer for about 30-40 minutes for quicker results.
  6. Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares or rectangles. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Nutty Fudge: Add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts such as walnuts, pecans, or almonds to the fudge mixture for added crunch.Peanut Butter Fudge: Stir in 1/2 cup of peanut butter along with the chocolate chips for a rich peanut butter and chocolate flavor.Mint Fudge: Add 1/2 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the melted fudge for a minty twist, or top with mint chocolate chips.S’mores Fudge: Add mini marshmallows and crushed graham crackers into the fudge mixture for a s’mores-inspired treat.Caramel Fudge: Drizzle store-bought caramel sauce over the top of the fudge and sprinkle with sea salt before refrigerating for a sweet and salty combo.
