Marshmallow popcorn is a sweet, sticky, and crunchy treat that combines freshly popped popcorn with gooey melted marshmallows. It’s quick to make, highly customizable, and perfect for parties, movie nights, or last-minute desserts.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups popped popcorn (plain or lightly salted)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: pinch of salt
  • Optional: chocolate chips, sprinkles, candy pieces, or nuts

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn using your preferred method and place it in a large mixing bowl. Remove any unpopped kernels.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter.
  3. Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract (and a pinch of salt if using).
  5. Immediately pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popcorn.
  6. Gently stir to coat all the popcorn evenly. Use a spatula or buttered hands to prevent sticking.
  7. Add any mix-ins or toppings while the mixture is still warm so they stick.
  8. Let the popcorn cool slightly before serving, or shape into balls if desired.
