Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
    200 g goat cheese, softened
    100 g cream cheese, softened
    2 tablespoons honey, plus extra for drizzling
    1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
    1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1/2 teaspoon dried)
    1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
    Salt and black pepper, to taste
    Optional: chopped nuts or caramelized onions for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll out puff pastry slightly and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Score a border 1–2 cm from the edges without cutting all the way through.
  • In a bowl, mix goat cheese, cream cheese, honey, thyme, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  • Spread the cheese mixture evenly within the scored border.
  • Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes, until golden and puffed.
  • While baking, gently warm honey with chili flakes in a small saucepan.
  • Remove tart from oven and let cool slightly.
  • Drizzle hot honey over the tart and add optional toppings if desired.
  • Slice and serve warm
