Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease and line two round cake pans.

  • In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  • Alternately add dry ingredients and milk, mixing until smooth.

  • Divide batter evenly between pans.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Cool cakes completely before frosting.
  • For frosting, beat butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar, cream, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Assemble cake by layering frosting between layers and covering the top and sides.
