Heart Shaped Doughnut Holes are fluffy, golden mini doughnuts shaped like hearts, perfect for Valentine’s Day or special occasions. Coated with sugar, glaze, or chocolate, they make a sweet and festive treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, glaze, or chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually mix wet ingredients into dry until a soft dough forms.
  4. Lightly flour a surface and roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness.
  5. Cut heart shapes using a small heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  6. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Fry hearts in batches, 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  8. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
  9. While still warm, coat with sugar, dip in glaze, or drizzle with chocolate as desired.

Notes
