Healthy Ground Turkey Meatballs are baked, juicy, and made with lean turkey for a lighter version of a classic comfort food. Perfect for meal prep, weeknight dinners, or entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs (or regular)
  • 1/4 cup onion, grated or finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or mix of oregano and basil)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Olive oil spray, for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parsley, Parmesan (if using), Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Roll mixture into 1–1.5 inch meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Lightly spray with olive oil to help with browning.
  5. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve with marinara, pasta, vegetables, or your favorite sauce.

Notes

Add chopped spinach or zucchini for extra vegetables.Use oat flour instead of breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option.Swap parsley for cilantro and add chili flakes for a spicy version.Mix in mozzarella for cheesy centers.Toss in buffalo or teriyaki sauce instead of marinara for variety.Store in fridge up to 4 days or freeze up to 3 months.
