A hearty, budget-friendly one-pan meal made with tender cabbage and savory ground beef. Quick, comforting, and perfect for busy weeknights or meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium green cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add chopped onion and garlic to the pan and cook until softened and fragrant.
  4. Stir in the chopped cabbage and season with salt, pepper, and paprika if using.
  5. Cover the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and slightly caramelized, about 10–12 minutes.
  6. Add soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce if desired, and stir well.
  7. Taste and adjust seasonings before serving hot.
