These Grilled Caprese Skewers are a fresh and elegant appetizer featuring juicy cherry tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fragrant basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Ingredients

  • Cherry tomatoes
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Optional Additions

  • Grilled zucchini slices
  • Pesto drizzle
  • Crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 20 minutes to prevent burning.
  • Thread cherry tomatoes, basil leaves, and mozzarella balls onto the skewers, alternating ingredients evenly.
  • Lightly brush the skewers with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Preheat the grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grates.
  • Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until the tomatoes begin to soften and light grill marks appear.
  • Remove the skewers from the grill and arrange them on a serving platter.
  • Drizzle with balsamic glaze and additional olive oil if desired.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.
