Grilled to perfection, these lobster tails are perfect for special occasions or a delicious seafood feast anytime, offering a rich and flavorful experience.
4 lobster tails
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Prepare the lobster tails: Use kitchen shears to cut the top of the lobster shell lengthwise, exposing the lobster meat. Gently pull the lobster meat out, keeping it attached to the tail, and rest it on top of the shell. Optionally, make a shallow cut along the meat for easier separation during grilling.
Make the garlic butter sauce: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
Preheat the grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375°F/190°C).
Brush the lobster tails: Generously brush the lobster meat with the Cajun garlic butter sauce. Reserve some sauce for basting during grilling and serving.
Grill the lobster tails: Place the lobster tails meat-side down on the grill. Grill for 5-7 minutes, then flip them to grill the meat-side up for another 4-6 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and cooked through.
Baste and finish: During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush the lobster with the reserved garlic butter sauce to enhance flavor.
Serve: Remove the lobster tails from the grill and place them on a platter. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for an added burst of freshness.
For extra heat, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the garlic butter sauce.Add fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary to the butter mixture for a more aromatic touch. For a cheesy twist, sprinkle Parmesan or mozzarella cheese over the lobster meat during the final minutes of grilling.
