Ingredients

For the Turkey Burgers

  • pounds ground turkey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup red onion, finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

For Serving

  • 4 burger buns or pita breads
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Sliced cucumber
  • ½ cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic, red onion, parsley, dill, oregano, feta cheese, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Form the mixture into 4 evenly sized burger patties.
  • Heat a grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium heat and lightly brush with olive oil.
  • Cook the turkey burgers for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and fully cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • Toast the burger buns or warm the pita bread if desired.
  • Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato slices, cucumber, and a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce.
  • Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
