Easy Maple Sesame Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender salmon fillets glazed with a sweet and savory blend of maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil. Baked until caramelized and flaky, it’s a perfect balance of umami and sweetness for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin on or off)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar (optional)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, and rice vinegar if using.
  3. Place salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush or spoon the maple sesame glaze evenly over each fillet.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
  6. Optional: Broil for the last 1–2 minutes for extra caramelization, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  7. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
