A hearty, family-friendly casserole made with ground beef, creamy soup, corn, cheese, and crispy tater tots. Easy to prepare, budget-friendly, and perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup whole kernel corn (canned or frozen, drained if canned)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon paprika or chili powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef with diced onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, corn, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt, pepper, and optional paprika or chili powder.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top.
  6. Arrange frozen tater tots evenly over the surface.
  7. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until the tater tots are crispy and golden brown.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy.
