Easy Air Fryer Lasagna is a quicker, small-batch version of the classic Italian comfort dish. With layers of tender noodles, rich meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey mozzarella, it cooks perfectly in the air fryer for a crispy, bubbly finish with less effort and cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 68 no-boil lasagna noodles (or regular, pre-cooked)
  • 1/2 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1/2 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara or pasta sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook 1 minute.
  2. Add ground beef or sausage and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
  5. Grease a 6–7 inch air fryer-safe baking dish.
  6. Layer lasagna: start with a spoonful of sauce, then noodles (broken to fit), ricotta mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella.
  7. Cover dish with foil and place in air fryer basket.
  8. Air fry at 320°F (160°C) for 20–25 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and air fry another 5–7 minutes until cheese is golden and bubbly.
  10. Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Use ramekins or small tins for single-serve lasagnas.

Vegetarian version: replace meat with mushrooms, zucchini, or spinach. For a spicier kick, use hot Italian sausage or red pepper flakes.Cover with foil to prevent cheese from over-browning too soon.Freeze leftovers up to 2 months; reheat in air fryer covered, then uncover to brown.
