Easter dirt cake is a whimsical, no-bake dessert made with layers of creamy pudding and crushed chocolate cookies, topped with festive Easter candies. It’s a fun and delicious treat perfect for spring celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 (14.3 oz) package Oreo cookies (or similar chocolate sandwich cookies)
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 (3.4 oz) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • Easter candy (mini chocolate eggs, marshmallow Peeps, jelly beans)
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut, tinted green (optional for “grass”)

Instructions

  1. Place Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until finely crushed. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar together until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk vanilla pudding mix with cold milk until thickened.
  4. Fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture until well blended.
  5. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
  6. In a 9×13-inch dish or trifle bowl, layer half of the crushed cookies on the bottom.
  7. Spread the cream mixture evenly over the cookie layer.
  8. Top with the remaining crushed cookies to resemble “dirt.”
  9. Decorate with Easter candy and green-tinted coconut to create a festive spring scene.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
