Dried Apple Chips with Cinnamon

Light, crunchy dried apple chips sprinkled with cinnamon and slowly baked for a naturally sweet, healthy snack perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Gala)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 225°F (110°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and core the apples (peeling is optional).
  3. Slice apples very thinly (about 1/8 inch) using a sharp knife or mandoline.
  4. Arrange slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets.
  5. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, then flip the slices and bake for another 1–1½ hours until crisp.
  7. Turn off the oven, leave the chips inside for 30 minutes to finish drying.
  8. Cool completely before storing.

Notes

Use pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, or ginger instead of cinnamon for variations.Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.If chips lose crispness, reheat at 250°F (120°C) for 10–15 minutes.Use a mandoline for even slicing to ensure uniform baking.
