Crockpot Chicken & Gravy is a rich and comforting slow-cooked meal featuring tender shredded chicken smothered in savory gravy. With minimal prep and pantry staples, it’s the perfect hands-off dinner for busy days.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 2 packets (0.87 oz each) chicken gravy mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup water or low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for added creaminess)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts or thighs in the bottom of a slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, water or broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  5. Shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks.
  6. Stir the shredded chicken into the gravy until fully combined.
  7. If desired, stir in sour cream for extra richness.
  8. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits. Garnish with chopped parsley if using.
