Creamy Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender cubes of seared steak tossed in a rich garlic butter cream sauce. This quick and luxurious skillet dish brings bold steakhouse flavor to your table in under 30 minutes—perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak (or ribeye/New York strip), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup beef broth (optional, for thinning sauce)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat steak pieces dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear steak bites in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30–60 seconds, until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine. Add Parmesan cheese if using and simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, 2–3 minutes. Add a splash of beef broth if the sauce becomes too thick.
  5. Return the steak bites to the pan and toss to coat in the creamy garlic butter sauce. Heat through for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, pasta, rice, or crusty bread.

Notes

Use a hot pan and don’t overcrowd to get a perfect sear on the steak.Ribeye or New York strip can be used for extra flavor and tenderness.Deglaze the pan with a splash of white wine for added depth.Add sautéed mushrooms or fresh herbs like thyme for variation.Use beef broth to loosen the sauce when reheating.
