Cottage Cheese Pasta Sauce is a creamy, high-protein alternative to traditional Alfredo sauce, made with blended cottage cheese, Parmesan, and simple seasonings. This quick and easy cottage cheese pasta sauce is perfect for busy weeknights, delivering rich flavor and silky texture without heavy cream.
1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
8 ounces pasta of choice
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water before draining.
While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat.
In a blender or food processor, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, sautéed garlic, milk, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
Return drained pasta to the pot or a large skillet over low heat.
Pour the blended cottage cheese sauce over the pasta and stir gently to combine.
Add reserved pasta water gradually until desired consistency is reached.
Heat gently for 1–2 minutes, stirring continuously. Avoid boiling to prevent curdling.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve warm.
