Chocolate Sprinkle Cookies are soft, chewy chocolate cookies rolled in colorful sprinkles for a fun and festive treat. Quick to make and perfect for parties, holidays, or anytime you crave chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tbsp milk (optional, if dough is too dry)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate or rainbow sprinkles (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms. Add a splash of milk if the dough feels too dry.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
  7. Roll each dough ball in chocolate or rainbow sprinkles until fully coated.
  8. Place on the baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are set and centers are soft.
  10. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
