Chocolate Caramel Dipped Pears are a stunning, indulgent treat made by dipping ripe pears in rich caramel and smooth melted chocolate. Perfect for fall, holidays, or gift-giving, these elegant pears are easy to customize and sure to impress.

Ingredients

  • 6 firm, ripe pears (Bosc, Anjou, or Bartlett)
  • 11 oz soft caramels (about 40 pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or melts (optional, for drizzling)
  • Toppings: chopped nuts, crushed pretzels, sprinkles, flaky sea salt
  • Popsicle sticks or skewers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the pears. Remove stems if using skewers, and insert a popsicle stick into the top of each pear (optional).
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt soft caramels with heavy cream, stirring until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Dip each pear into the caramel, letting excess drip off. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until set.
  4. Melt semisweet or dark chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  5. Dip the caramel-coated pears into the chocolate, covering halfway or fully as desired.
  6. Immediately sprinkle with toppings while chocolate is still wet.
  7. Optional: melt white chocolate and drizzle over pears for decoration.
  8. Place pears back on the lined sheet and refrigerate for 20–30 minutes until fully set.
  9. Serve chilled or at room temperature, or wrap individually for gifts.
