Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

For the Cabernet Ganache:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
2 tablespoons Cabernet Sauvignon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Melt butter and dark chocolate together in a heatproof bowl, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in granulated sugar and brown sugar.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  • Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface.
  • Heat the heavy cream until just simmering, then pour over the semi-sweet chocolate. Let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  • Stir in the Cabernet Sauvignon until the ganache is glossy.
  • Spoon ganache over the brownie batter and gently swirl with a knife or skewer.
