Butter Noodles is a simple, cozy, and versatile dish made with pasta, butter, and seasonings. It’s quick to prepare, kid-friendly, and perfect as a side dish or light main meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz egg noodles (or pasta of choice)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add noodles and cook according to package directions until al dente.
  2. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water, then drain the noodles.
  3. Return hot noodles to the pot and add butter. Stir until melted and evenly coated.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  5. Optional: Stir in Parmesan cheese and a splash of reserved pasta water for extra creaminess.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
