Buffalo Chicken Wontons with Yogurt Blue Cheese Dip are crispy, golden wonton wrappers filled with spicy buffalo chicken and paired with a tangy, creamy yogurt-based blue cheese dip. A perfect party appetizer or game-day snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (rotisserie or homemade)
  • 1/3 cup buffalo sauce
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • Cooking spray or 2 tbsp olive oil
  • For the Yogurt Blue Cheese Dip:
  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/3 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, cheddar, and green onions until creamy and well blended.
  3. Place 1 spoonful of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten edges with water and fold into triangles or seal into pouches.
  4. Arrange wontons on the baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  6. Meanwhile, whisk yogurt, blue cheese, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to make the dip.
  7. Serve wontons hot with the dip on the side.

Notes

Air fry wontons at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes for extra crispiness.Fry in hot oil for a classic crunchy version.Swap cheddar for pepper jack for extra heat.Make wonton cups by baking wrappers in a muffin tin and filling after baking.Add finely chopped celery to the filling for crunch.
