Broccoli Cheddar Dip is a warm, creamy, and cheesy appetizer made with tender broccoli, sharp cheddar, and a flavorful blend of cream cheese, sour cream, and seasonings. Baked until hot and bubbly, it’s perfect for dipping with chips, crackers, or fresh bread at any party or gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped broccoli (fresh, steamed or blanched, or frozen, thawed and drained)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing baking dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  2. If using fresh broccoli, steam or blanch until tender, then chop into small pieces. If using frozen, thaw and drain well.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and creamy.
  4. Stir in chopped broccoli, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  6. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the dip is hot, bubbly, and golden around the edges.
  8. Let cool slightly and serve warm with chips, crackers, bread, or vegetables.

Notes

Use frozen broccoli for convenience—just thaw and drain it well.Add chopped jalapeños or hot sauce for extra heat.Mix in mozzarella or Monterey Jack for creamier texture.To lighten it up, use Greek yogurt and low-fat cream cheese.Best served hot; reheat in oven or microwave before serving
