Boneless chicken wings are a crispy, flavorful alternative to traditional wings, coated in your favorite sauce. Easy to make and fully customizable, they’re perfect for parties, game day, or a delicious snack.

Ingredients

  • For the chicken:
  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 12 inch pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk (or regular milk)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • For the sauce:
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (or BBQ sauce, honey mustard, or any sauce of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional, for a richer sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Cut the boneless chicken into 1-2 inch pieces. Pat them dry with paper towels to ensure they cook evenly.
  2. Make the breading: In a shallow bowl, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and egg.
  3. Coat the chicken: Dip each chicken piece into the egg mixture, then dredge it in the flour mixture, ensuring each piece is fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.
  4. Fry the chicken: Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot (about 350°F or 175°C), carefully add the coated chicken pieces in batches. Fry for 4-6 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C). Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  5. Make the sauce: While the chicken is frying, prepare your sauce by mixing together the buffalo sauce (or your choice of sauce), melted butter, and honey (if using). Stir until fully combined.
  6. Toss the chicken: Once the chicken is fried and crispy, place it in a large bowl and pour the sauce over the top. Toss until the chicken is well coated in the sauce.
  7. Serve: Serve the boneless chicken wings immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese, and enjoy!

Notes
