Blue Cheese Dip is a creamy, tangy, and savory dip made with bold blue cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Smooth yet chunky, it’s a classic accompaniment for wings, vegetables, chips, and crackers.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Chives or parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, mix sour cream and mayonnaise until smooth.
  • Stir in crumbled blue cheese, reserving a small amount for garnish if desired.
  • Add lemon juice, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • For a smoother texture, gently mash some of the blue cheese with a fork while stirring.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • Serve chilled, garnished with reserved blue cheese and chopped chives or parsley if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.Add hot sauce or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.Roquefort, Gorgonzola, or Stilton all work well.Best served cold; stir before serving.Not suitable for freezing.
